Grips and Fixtures for Materials testing
TTS can offer new grips and fixtures to suit any test application and are designed to fit most OEM machines. All our grips and fixtures are manufactured here in the UK to the most exacting specifications.
Our grips are supplied and priced as a pair and include a standard set of jaws, exceptions are fixtures such as bending jigs, friction testing etc where the upper part is completely different from the bottom. All grips and fixtures come complete and ready to use and are adapted to suit your particular testing machine. Due to the large quantity of different testing machines in the market we keep our grips as piece parts and assemble to order.
Our grips are significantly more cost effective than OEM grips and but made to equally high standards.

These precision-made bending fixtures ( sometimes refered as bending jigs ) for 3 point and 4 point bend tests are available with a range of anvils. Each bending fixture is designed with stiffness characteristics which , ensure consistent flexure testing results using either the testing machine displacement reading or if extra accuracy is required then transducer mounting kits are available.

This is a guided bending jig, where the upper anvil is held parallel to the lower anvils by guides mounted on the side of the beam. The anvils are free to rotate in their support blocks.
ST94 50kN Long Span
A simple long span 3 point bend jig that relies on the materials testing machine to maintain alignment between the top and bottom parts. It is constructed in steel with steel anvils. The span is infinitely adjustable between 10 and 1060mm.
This fixture is a heavy duty three point bending jig. The jig sits on the lower fixed crosshead of the machine and relies on the crosshead to support the beam. The upper anvil alignment is maintained by the testing machine.
This is a special fixture to ASTM C 651-11 and consists of the top half a the four point bending fixture with two anvil sizes and articulation in two axese and the anvils can also roll on their long axis. This was made as a special for a customer with an existing 3 point bending fixture. This fixture can be altered to suit particular customer requirements
A four point bending fixture, which complies with ASTM C393, Core Shear Properties of Sandwich Constructions by Beam Flexure. It is supplied in four point format as standard but a three point upper fixture is also available.
A three point bending fixture which complies with ASTM D790: Flexural properties of Unreinforced and Reinforced Plastics and Electrical Insulating Materials. It is supplied in three point format as standard but a four point upper fixture is available.
