Grips and Fixtures for Materials testing
TTS can offer new grips and fixtures to suit any test application and are designed to fit most OEM machines. All our grips and fixtures are manufactured here in the UK to the most exacting specifications.
Our grips are supplied and priced as a pair and include a standard set of jaws, exceptions are fixtures such as bending jigs, friction testing etc where the upper part is completely different from the bottom. All grips and fixtures come complete and ready to use and are adapted to suit your particular testing machine. Due to the large quantity of different testing machines in the market we keep our grips as piece parts and assemble to order.
Our grips are significantly more cost effective than OEM grips and but made to equally high standards.
Pneumatic Grips
With a range of both single and double action grips available, there is a pneumatic grip for every flat sample testing need, including plastic, wood, yarn, composites, paper and metals. Choose a single action grip for shear testing with offset samples.
For our pneumatic vices and grips, we supply all the pipe work, valves etc. However, we do not supply the connection to the mains supply or mains filtering or regulation. Foot controls are supplied as standard, but hand control is available as an option.

This is a vice grip with pneumatic loading applied to one jaw face. The other side is manually adjustable to centre the sample. The 300N load is the pneumatic clamping force at 7 bar supply pressure. The actual load that can be applied to the sample will depend on the coefficient of friction.The standard jaw face is rubber coated. Plain and pyramid cut faces are available.
